Not the violent stuff but just the way he would word how he was feeling inside, depression, loneliness etc. At the time his music expressed how I felt inside.
I didn’t fit in, constantly felt like the underdog, had some major depressive episodes, and sometimes I just wanted to scream and say exactly how I felt. So I was a angry, lonely, fragile, bullied kid growing up in the hood and his music felt relatable at the time. This is going to be long but here are my thoughts regarding em and the rap genre in general.
